The Shepparton Greyhound Racing Club is a “State of the Art” racing facility in the heart of the Goulburn Valley featuring a sand based surface and offering trainers three distances for racing.
Situated on the Goulburn Valley Highway at Kialla and just under two hours from Melbourne, the club has proven to be extremely popular with trainers and visitors to the region.
The natural instinct is to look to Thursday night, but after a quick correction we enjoy another night’s sleep ahead of the Trilogy culimation at Sandown Park on Friday.
Owner Andrew Walker is on an amazing ride with Magpie Hector, with the best possibly yet to come in Friday’s Sportsbet Sandown Cup.
It’s a race that’s had a chequered past, from Bold Trease’s four-peat, the famous no-race in 2007, drama in running and icons like Sweet It Is, Fanta Bale and Tornado Tears getting the job done. It’s had it all.
